About the Art Series
Batik Hollywood is a digital art series showing Golden Age cinema icons wearing lush, Batik prints.
Back in 2014 I've decided to combined two of my favorite things- Batik patterns with classic Hollywood icons. The results has become an obsession for me until today! It’s fun seeing Ava Gardner or Sammy Davis Jr wearing the Batik, my way. Since I can’t afford haute couture but just Photoshop; it works perfectly. If you look at it long enough, it might even make you say, “I’ve seen a drunk tourist wore something similar in a Bali club before, but this looks wayyy better on Fred Astaire”.
